Huddersfield Town midfielder Danny Williams has been ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking a bone in his ankle in training, the Premier League club said on Thursday.
The 29-year-old, who has made 24 appearances including 11 Premier League starts in his debut season for Huddersfield, will have surgery on Friday.
“We are all disappointed that Danny has suffered this injury and now we offer him our full support as he begins his recovery,” Huddersfield head coach David Wagner said in a statement on the club website. (www.htafc.com)
“He’s adapted well to football in the Premier League and has been in some great form for us recently.”
Huddersfield, who are 15th in the table with 31 points, host 18th-placed Crystal Palace on Saturday.
